About us: Bangladesh Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy Center is one of the leading Yoga institute in Bangladesh. The institute was established and directed by Bangladesh Govt. Approved organization,Sankar Welfare Foundation (SWF).Bangladesh Institute of Yoga& Meditation was developed in the year 2015 butit’s informally has been working from 2003 throughoutthe country. When the founders visualized that the Yoga being taught and practiced all over the world and in Bangladesh was in no way as powerful, dynamic and immediate as authentic Yoga could be. If Yoga in Bangladesh suffered from a drab and monotonous classical tradition that had lost its freshness and spontaneity, then Yoga in the west was being trivialized with the many offshoots, new brands and fusion forms in which the true spirit of Yoga was lost to a false spirituality consisting of chanting, incense sticks and imaginary visualizations.
Bangladesh Institute of Yoga Meditation started with the vision of spreading a form of Yoga that would help people first get in shape, become disease-free and protect them from physical and mental traumas. The main objective of our organization is to dedicate our services for betterment of human health.
As the demand for yoga trainers increased laterally, Bangladesh Institute of Yoga&Meditation formed a new wing and named it as yoga medical Centre . It started training courses on anatomy, physiology and other yoga techniques. It also included courses like physiotherapy, massage therapy and other decease healing courses. Today after almost a decade of its commencement there are enormous number of trainers who have successfully built career in yoga.
During a span of 12 years we have successfully healed and cured many people. Diseases like diabetes, acidity, obesity, hernia, spondylitis, female decease has been totally cured. Also problems like memory, concentration and height issues have been taken care of.
What is Yoga?: Yoga means togetherness of awareness and body. It is a practical science aiming at the realization of the ultimate – moksha. My purpose is to remove the misconception that yoga is for the elderly and the sick. The practice of yoga should ideally be commenced in early childhood when the body is by nature loose and flexible. Beginning early brings truth to the old adage “prevention is better than cure”. Though yoga does help in treatment of diseases, this is not its only goal. Saints from the ancient age kept themselves fit and stout with regular practice of yoga.
There are different kinds of yoga, to name a few – jnan yoga, bhakti yoga, mantra yoga, hatha yoga, raj yoga and many more. Each type of yoga dedicates itself for a certain root cause.
What is Meditation?: Mediation is practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present movement, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.
Why to practice Yoga?: Bangladesh Institute of Yoga&Meditation has made mankind aware of the fact that Yoga is a science which is practical and usable with guaranteed scope of growth at all levels of human existence – physical, mental, emotional, physiological and spiritual. Its sole principle is to progress from a state of doing to the state of non-doing.
The ancient art of yoga says that an empty mind is God’s workshop. With the passage of time, medical science has made tremendous progress. So have metaphysics, physics, chemistry, human physiology and sports medicine. Yoga, which is a practical science, however, has fallen into the hands of those who don’t really understand its depth and use it for superficial purposes such as figure correction, weight loss and stress management.

The admission of students is made on the basis of merit of entrance test conducted normally in the year/ Monthly basis.

On-line application form for entrance test may be downloaded from the institute website. Duly filled form along with self-attested mark sheet, of qualifying exam is required to be within the stipulated date and time.
